We recently did a repair for a homeowner in Moore, SC, whose roof had been damage by tree branches. You can see from the photo that the branches completely ripped off a section of shingles along the edge of the roof. If left alone, this could eventually cause leaks from heavy rain and water damage inside the attic and wall.

We see this a lot as we drive around the Upstate, so pay attention to those trees growing next to your house. Not only will they damage your shingles, they can rip holes right through soffits and fascias, allowing water into your attic and providing an entrance for squirrels, racoons, etc. Don’t let a small problem turn into a big problem.

As you can see in the photos, we were able to trim back the branches and install new shingles on the damaged section so that the repair perfectly matches the rest of the roof.
